Story and Songs
Mr. Jingeling

Anyone growing up in Cleveland in the late ‘50’s and early ‘60’s will remember this special Christmas personality….another Cleveland Classic! Created in 1956 by a Chicago ad executive for the Halle Brothers Department Store, Mr. Jingleing was the “Keeper of the Keys” to Santa’s Toyland – at the North Pole and Halle’s – and he was played in personal appearances by Tom Moviel, a Cleveland policeman with a hefty ring of keys. Plain Dealer reporter Tom Feran adds, “…but television – a five minute daily segment of stories and songs during the “Captain Penny” kids show on WEWS Channel 5 – made Mr. Jingleing as big as Santa in Cleveland. Play House actor Max Ellis did eight seasons; Karl Mackey of Lakewood Little Theater did one; and TV Channel 5 director Earl Keyes took over in 1965.” Now, Traditions Alive Records has succeeded in keeping the Mr. Jingleing character alive with the release of this cd and the addition of actor Jonathan Wilhelm donning the role. Remember your childhood and pass along the memory to your children or grandchildren with this EP. Tracks include:
1) Mr. Jingleing’s Jingle
2) Story of “How Mr. Jingleing Became the Keeper of the Keys”
3) “I Have the Key”
4) Mr. Jingleings Jingle – Sing along version

Alex Bevan "Live at the Kent Stage - Dancing With the Muse"
The night was April 5th, 2008. One man, one guitar, one evening filled with one "Skinny Little Boy's" journey through a life of music. Ballads of loves, dreams, lakes and rivers... stories containing characters worthy of minor fables.… major emotion.… a voice that touches you like well worn flannel... it was a night not to be missed.
Here is your seat at the Kent Stage. Here is your ticket to share the welcoming performance that once again shows Alex Bevan is Northern Ohio's "Low Tech Troubadour". There is magic in this night!

"MELTDOWN" was the first CD released by the group, and the first CD released by any locally based group at that time. It sold over 25,000 copies on the group's Thin Ice Records label. These songs will bring back many memories for avid First Light fans. The CD was recently rated one of the top 10 best "summer" CD's released by a Cleveland-based artist by the Scene Magazine. Definitely a Cleveland Classic! This CD was never before released to retail! Due to overwhelming demand from the group's fans all across the country, it is now!

Groove Telepathy
First Light
Groove Telepathy was the follow up studio CD that saw the group expand their sound away from the original reggae vibe into more of a rock-funk-blues-world sound. The re-issued version contains A BONUS TRACK as well as re-mixes of 6 tracks that were done at Pyramid Studios in San Francisco, and they infuse a whole new energy into these songs, making this CD world-class, and another CLEVELAND CLASSIC.
SOON TO FOLLOW: Little Fish Records has several other First Light re-issues in the pipeline including “Live at the Empire” and “Bootleg” recordings that were previously only available on cassette, and a newly discovered Live at the Agora CD that was simulcast on WNCX 98.5 circa 1992. Stay Tuned!
