One For You
Jah Works
"One For You" is the eighth Jah Works release (5th on Little Fish Records) to date and the 2nd to be recorded at Riddim House Studios, the band's recording studio built in 2005. If "Hard to Find" was a return to the rootical sound of the band's beginnings, "ONE FOR YOU" answers with an upbeat, in-your-face collection of future-reggae-heavy-hitters. The band has further redefined their unique brand of reggae...infusing it with dancehall, hip-hop, drum 'n bass, dub and more. The album was named after one of the band's greatest songs to date, "One For You", a political anthem chastising corruption and greed in government.
Every other day said another one bust
Can't trust your president, who can you trust?
And your vice president got the money lust
People's investigation get hushed
Every other day they wanna bring you inna war
Do you really know what you're fighting for?
Listen to Jah Works them a big superstar
Hear the message coming from near and far
ONE FOR YOU, ONE FOR ME, TWO FOR ME COUNT TWO FOR ME
PURE CORRUPTION ALL THAT I SEE, TRICKLE DOWN INNA MY COMMUNITY
Guest appearances include Monsoon and Kurlou of DC reggae band S.T.O.R.M. and BIG VIZION.

Taking Off Tomorrow
Jah Works
Recorded and mixed by famed reggae engineer Jim Fox of Lion & Fox Studios, Taking Off Tomorrow is Jah Works’ first crossover album. Often dubbed “the international album” after one of it’s strongest cuts, “International”, TOT has a worldwide appeal.
While still maintaining a strong reggae feel both in song and mix, a solid half of the album explores reggae/dancehall blends with r&b and pop.
Classic JW lover’s rock (“Shadow“, “Thank Her“, “One Loving Nite“) stand alongside party tunes (“International”, “Night Like This”, “More + More”) and consciousness (“Come Together“).
Also included is the infamous weed-anthem “Serious Litigation“, a dancehall track that is a has taken on classic folk song status. Taking Off Tomorrow is an album known to tear friends apart, that is, friends who steal each other’s copy.

Full Circle A Retrospective
Carlos Jones
Carlos Jones has been entertaining audiences for over 20 years throughout the eastern half of the United States, first as a member of the roots reggae group “I-Tal”, and then with the legendary “First Light”. As one of the primary songwriters, Carlos has written and performed over 100 songs, released 1 vinyl album, 2 cassettes, and 2 CD’s that sold in excess of 50,000 units on the group’s own label—Thin Ice Records.
On this CD release, Full Circle: A Retrospective, Carlos has pulled together a collection of songs that span the course of his career to showcase the diversity of his talents, both live and in the studio. As he recently told a crowd a the Beachland Ballroom in Cleveland, “this CD goes from the beginning to the beginning…” It serves to form the foundation of his new group’s (the P.L.U.S. Band) repertoire.

These songs will bring back many memories for avid First Light fans. The CD was recently rated one of the top 10 best "summer" CD's released by a Cleveland-based artist by the Scene Magazine. Groove Telepathy
First Light
Groove Telepathy was the follow up studio CD that saw the group expand their sound away from the original reggae vibe into more of a rock-funk-blues-world sound. The re-issued version contains A BONUS TRACK as well as re-mixes of 6 tracks that were done at Pyramid Studios in San Francisco, and they infuse a whole new energy into these songs, making this CD world-class, and another CLEVELAND CLASSIC.
SOON TO FOLLOW: Little Fish Records has several other First Light re-issues in the pipeline including “Live at the Empire” and “Bootleg” recordings that were previously only available on cassette, and a newly discovered Live at the Agora CD that was simulcast on WNCX 98.5 circa 1992. Stay Tuned!

All Things Considered
The Ark Band
Feeling the need to reach out to a mainstream audience, Terry Bobb, drummer and leader of the Ark Band, decided to do a little research. He found that the top playing and selling reggae songs of all time, were covers or mainstream hits done with a reggae beat and style. Seeing the reaction of a live audience when the band performed “Electric Avenue” – the old Eddie Grant hit, sealed the deal for Terry.
