The World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational has carried the long tradition of world class golf at Firestone Country Club. While the best players in the world coming to Akron, Ohio, is now a yearly given for golf fans, tournament officials announced today the debut of several new fan entertainment initiatives that will only enhance the already stellar on-site experience of the World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational, July 30-August 3 at Firestone Country Club.
Following the conclusion of the Bridgestone Invitational’s second round on Friday, August 1, any ticketed fan can stay on property for a live performance from Eric Hutchinson in the fan zone located behind the 18th green. The music will last from approximately 6:00-8:00 p.m. Hutchinson’s debut album, Sounds Like This, reached No. 5 in the iTunes Store in 2007. "Pure Fiction," Hutchinson’s third album, was released in the spring of 2014. He has performed on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and Late Night with Conan O'Brien.
About his latest release, Hutchinson said, “This album in every way was about simplifying. Stripping away all the layers to figure it out on my own, being in my home studio and asking myself, ‘Can I play this song on the guitar when it’s broken down to its bare basics?’”
On Saturday, August 2, fans can again move to the fan zone immediately following the last putt, where they can enjoy a musical performance from Winslow at no additional cost.
